Here’s a fantastic Gibson RB-12 replica from Marion Kirk. Marion began building instruments in 1967. Some of his peers and mentors were men like Randy Wood, Tut Taylor and Rual Yarborough. Marion‘s specialty was the Gibson Loar style mandolins and RB-12 banjos. Mr. Kirk passed in 2010. This one features the walnut neck with a radius, fretboard and very nice profile along with the walnut resonator in the top tension style. This banjo shows patina and wear here and there and remains in wonderful condition ready to go. The tone ring is a Tennessee 20 with numbers matching under the ring and on top of the rim. If you have any questions or need additional pictures, don’t hesitate to ask. Thanks for looking.
