*NOT USABLE*
From the estate of Barry Palmer.
I picked this neck up for my 1926 tb3 without considering just how much work it would take to make this neck work. Trust me, this is better off hung on a mantle.
The bad:
The heel is totally unusable.
Some inlays are missing.
The heel shows a repair (and that happened BEFORE someone whittled it away!)
There has been a section grafted in to repair a neck crack towards the headstock as well.
The good:
It's a prewar 5 string neck.
An expert builder (Ronnie Bales) checked this neck out and felt that there was a good chance that the repairs were done by Gibson (whoever did the graft did it a long time ago, and they did a GREAT job.)
If you want an original RB neck for decoration, this is the one. Make me an offer...price is a little negotiable.
