For your consideration is an excellent example of the Gibson Custom Shop J 2000 manufactured in 2005. Spectacular tone, loud with great projection and dynamic range and excellent note separation.This model was designed and supervised by legendary Gibson custom shop chief luthier, Ren Ferguson. It has two lacquer checks on the top below the bridge on the second and fourth strings. They are lacquer checks only and do not go into the wood. In an abundance of caution, the previous owner had a master luthier install some cleats on the inside below the location of the lacquer checks. There is a lacquer scratch in the finish on the bottom that does not go into the wood. Otherwise it is in pristine condition. it has a factory pickup installed. See last three photos for detailed specifications. The MSRP ON THIS GUITAR WHEN ISSUED IN 2005 WAS $8,500. The guitar comes with the original Gibson Custom Shop case.
