For Sale - Cox Fairchild Gold Plated and Engraved Flathead. These don't come up for sale very often. These were built early to mid 90's and from the research I've done, Jimmy Cox built 100 gold plated and 100 nickel plated Fairchild banjos. This particular instrument (number 30) is in VERY good/excellent, to not far from almost mind condition. There is very little fretwear. No buckle rash, and only the most minor ding in the resonator which I'll try and show in the pics. Ebony Board. Snuffy Smith bridge, Five Star top frosted head. Spikes at A and B. Gold Keith pegs on 2nd and 3rd. Action is nearly perfect - plays great. Includes a very good shape Guardian case. The pics should tell the story.
