This is an 11" Black Walnut rim blank, turned true (described as "Smooth" on the Balsam Banjo Works listing). I used many of these when I was building banjos, and have never found a better made laminated rim. These are the best on the market today.

Pictured with a 3/8" hardened red brass tube tone ring with holes toward the inside. These were made by the original Cloverlick Banjo Company, and are are next to impossible to find. They produce a very nice warm tone. Tone ring only for $50, or if bought with the rim discounted to $30. Both of the tone rings have been SOLD.
