1926 Gibson Ball Bearing 5 string conversion. Also includes original tenor neck with original tuners.
Five string neck has Five Star tuners. Slim 5 string neck mimics the tenor neck in size and inlays
Banjo is currently setup with Ball Bearing tone ring and goat skin head. Also included is a drop-in flathead conversion ring from First Quality…I prefer the Ball Bearing tone ring.
THIS BANJO HAS BEEN REFINISHED. All finish is decent but this is a 99 year old instrument.
Note: as per pic, the binding on the neck is not exactly the same as resonator but close.
The little wrench sitting on the head is the original for adjusting the coordinating rods.
Original case is included, cover is pretty torn. No five string case.
Here is the bad. No truss rod cover, never had it, one of the resonator thumb screws is missing and I think one of the washers for Ball Bearings in not original.
I just don’t play this thing. Someone else needs to.
