Nice easy playing 12" open back. Crafted from mahogany, walnut and acacia. Neck was crafted from 2 pieces of mahogany with a center stripe of walnut. It has a 26 1/4" scale fretboard with mop postion markers and planetary tuners. The strings sit on a 3/4" Snuffy Smith bridge with a string action of 3mm above the 12th fret. The banjo notes true up and down the neck with no string buzzes. The 12" rim was crafted from mahogany and acacia wood. Rim thickness is 1/2".. The fiberskin head sits on a 1/4" steel tone ring and held in place with a Goldtone tension hoop, 30 ball lugs and flat hooks. It has medium light strings attached to a \Waverly style tailpiece.
