This is an early 70’s Baldwin Ode Model D (a.k.a. 6500). I bought this banjo over 10 years ago from Turtle Hill Banjo, and since then, it has been played very little. Shortly after buying this banjo, I sent the armrest, tailpiece, tension hoop and resonator flange and had them re-plated. The frets are in good condition and the banjo comes with a case. There are railroad spikes at the 7th and 9th frets. There are also gold-plated Keith D tuners on the banjo. The early Baldwin Ode’s had the serial numbers stamped into the rim as opposed to having a paper sticker on the rim (please see the photo). If you have questions, please ask. $3,150 is my break-even price, so get this one before it's gone. I'm open to a trade for an American-made banjo.
