Gibson Granada 1927 PB archtop tonering 40 hole with curly maple conversion 5-String neck. It is the number 11 from the 8831 batch. I don't know who built the neck, but it is really nice and straight with ebony fretboard and Bella Voce inlays.
I just added a new truss rod cover and 11/16 Dotson bridge which really does the job! Besides 4 replacement hooks the pot seems all original. It also has the E2 tension hoop. (You will find more fotos in my media box)
The Granada was pruchased in 1995 from Curtis Mcpeake (buyers receipt included) and went to southern Germany where it was played quite a lot. As you can see there is a lot of wear on the plating and finish. There are scratches on the resonator and neck, especially where the strap screw touched the heel. It was probably not cleaned the right way in the past which let vanish a lot of the nice gold plating. Someone also put fake stones inlays in the resonator.
Nevertheless the banjo is solid, sounds and plays very nice. The cosmetic issues could be repaired in future if wanted. It comes in a post war Gibson TKL hardcase.
