This is a very uncommon but extremely practical offering from Nechville. On the surface this appears to be one of the company’s “Classic” models, but upon closer inspection, the instrument does not have a tonering. Rather, it has a maple rim beveled at the top, similar in style to a Gibson style 00. If anyone knows the proper model name for this specific instrument, kindly let me know.
The neck, rim, and resonator are maple. The flat ebony fretboard has a 1-5/16” nut width.
As usually found on Nechville acoustic instruments, the neck is attached via Nechvilles proprietary “Flux Capacitor” system. The rim is built around the propriety “Heli- Mount”. The banjo includes the necessary wrenches to work on the rim.
I could not get the lighting right to properly photograph the resonator. I will attempt to remedy that later.
