Here is a desirable and somewhat elusive larger diameter Whyte Laydie rim. Measuring in at 11-13/16”, this rim certainly is showing signs of its century+ in existence. It appears that a notch was cut into the tension hoop and the hoop was possibly replated. Plenty of scratches, scrapes, and patina on the wood and hardware, though I did my best to get the bulk of the grime off.
There is a small chunk of the thin strip of wood protruding between the bracket band and the tonering that’s missing by the dowel stick hole. It would likely be covered by whatever neck you decide to put on this rim.
I installed a Remo medium crown bottom frosted head because that’s the only 11-13/16” head I found in my stash of odd sized heads.
Unfortunately the dowel stick isn’t present.
Thanks for looking and feel free to reach out with any questions.
