I recently acquired this Tubaphone Tonering equipped rim attached to a messy homebrew long neck that had definitely played some songs about the Erie Canal back in the ‘60s. Unfortunately it wasn’t playable so i elected to part the instrument out.
The wood rim is structurally solid and so are the metal components. The nickel plating has plenty of patina but is doing pretty well for celebrating a 100th birthday. One thing that’s weird is that two of the hooks have a slight gold tint, which kind of give it a “gold tooth” look. You could hide these under an armrest if you hate it.
No dowel stick is present, but if you need the neck attachment hardware I may have some I’d be willing to throw in.
If you are interested in openback banjo rims, please check out my other listings as I have several Vega Little wonder rims of various sizes and a Bacon FF professional rim as well.
Thanks for looking and feel free to reach out with any questions.
