I bought this banjo because it was old and pretty. Being a noob at vintage banjos, I ended up with a wreck: cracked heel, non functional coordinator rod, chipped MOP inlays etc. I fixed it to the best of my knowledge and ability, but I am not a luthier, so anybody with more skills and experience would appreciate the challenge. It is an S.S. Stewart Wonder Tone, it was identified as Puntolillo made. It is an archtop. I repaired the heel, replaced the coordinator rod (the one in the picture is the old one), refretted it, and fixed some of the inlays, sanded the parts and re coated with a matt finish. It has a Waverly tailpiece, a 5-string Shubb capo (don't ask), Renaissance head and a 5/8 inch Grover bridge (but I will add a few good 1/2 inch bridges). Although I spent a fortune on it, I am not expecting much in return. It comes with a case. I just bought an Hatfield. I am just trying to recover some funds. You can see some historic data that show my banjo similarities to vintage instruments here: banjoworld.de/Majest10.htm and mugwumps.com/sss_date.html You can hear the banjo here: youtu.be/Myy0GSNWk_Q and youtu.be/OuCMdUZTTX0 and youtu.be/ynjuBE7FrHI
