Took my banjo home today

OK I went and got the banjo, the Hatfield book, some finger picks, set of extra strings, and they gave me a pitch pipe, yay!

And a neck strap - I think essential for street playing.

It was a beautiful day during the middle of the day, could be outside and still warm enough, yay! I looked for this homeless lady on University Avenue to give her some stuff I said I would, and could not resist doing some "work" so I "made" $27, and called it a day as far as that went.

Went to Gryphon and picked up the banjo and stuff, then went out again to get stuff like milk, eggnog, some foam to seal up the drafty crack (BRRRRR!!) that's right by this computer, and a few other odds and ends.

I'm going to plunk around a bit here and by golly, I'm going to go out and play a bit on the street tomorrow.

 Have fun making smiles on the street Alex! Your determination in getting your banjer is awe inspiring. You may have inspired me to quit my sign flying ways,and face my buskaphobia...soon...

 Ive enjoyed reading your blogs...reminded me of the days when I was squattin Wilder Ranch State Park just up the "1" from Santa Cruz...thats such a beautiful part of the country!
