Now ,why is this? alot of the oldtime banjo frailing people have a good sense of surreality humour,while bluegrass guys do not(girl bluegrass banjo players may have,i dunno i never met one,every bluegrass banjoer i met has been a 50 something,heavyset wealthy guy,or a 19year old wizz kid who never kissed a girl).
does an open back mean an open mind,or does a dowellstickinthemud?
Jazz banjoers seem a good bunch,although they like benny hill and fart jokes too much for my taste,those twenties guys were a lot of fun,especially when they were high on"mugglesticks".Harry Reser was my favourite.
the best humour is a lonlely pursuit,specially if youre the only one laughing!

I think we live in a more serious age. People forget about people because eveything comes off a supermarket shelf. I am a cynic about the world today. I call it the era of the successful underachiever.
