Another day, pickin' and pannin

Posted by Alex_C on Tuesday, November 25, 2008

Well, I went over to Gryphon again and plunked around some more on the deering goodtime ... had fun harmonizing with a mandolin player sitting there .... funny 'cos I ended up bending strings to get dead on on some stuff lol. Looked at their books .... seems for $35 you can get a LOT, it's less than a lesson, but then it's a LOT compared to just looking around on the net etc. So are the books a deal? I'd say yes if you have the money and if you don't then maybe just online stuff is better - it's free.

I did ok panning today, put some more money into the banjo fund.

Supposed to rain but didn't, I was planning to "pan" until I got rained out then head home, instead I panned for a while, did horribly, stuck it out nevertheless, and had a decent day. It's my Yob, man!

Sounds like you had a great time pickin' on them good old tunes, and pickin' up a good book too every once and a while an' t such a bad thing...
Though the free stuff keeps your coin in your pocket, " for a rainy day ".
'appy pickin'

Well, I was panhandling for my living money, can't afford one of those banjo books right now, and someone bought me a sandwich too - REAL panhandlers never turn down food!
