Banjo as Downward Spiral

Posted by Joanchek on Monday, November 17, 2008

What a weekend.  The corn stove is in the dining room, uninstalled for want of a piece of 45 degree angled stovepipe that arrives tomorrow.  So, that waits til after Thanksgiving.  Crazy-busy Sunday doing things that I didn't do Saturday, plus a movie for this month's review.  I came home, got dinner cleaned up, wrote the review, spent time with the kiddo, and got Mr off to work at 1 AM.  Up early this morning to run the kiddo back to Philly;  we were on the road before 8 and i was back home at 2:30.  Made a couple of necessary phone calls, mailed the review off after a quick read-through and edit, got a game together for tonight.  Then I sat down and played for just over an hour, although my hands were cold and never really warmed up all the way.  I wasn't playing a clean as I should have been, but it did improve as I warmed up.

Managed a couple other crises that popped up, and hosted my games... and now I will go smack some monsters to blow off some steam.  Tomorrow I will be up early again to take delivery of a ton--literally-- of wood pellets, and of course it's snowing, so that will be great fun.

Come on Thanksgiving!

Joan, I was so worried there. The "Downward Spiral" caught my eye. When I read "Banjo as Downward Spiral" I have a definitive image of the gaping maw...in fact, my image may be that of the most Stygian layer of the 9th Circle.
