I recently won the October drawing for the Lame Horse Gitjo on BHO. I posted a question as to whether there was really any place in bluegrass gospel music for a 6-string banjo and, for the most part, I got responses that told me that while it would work well for old-time music, it probably wouldn't do much for bluegrass.
After some experimentation I have reached the conclusion that it will work in bluegrass and I'm going to try to prove it. I've restrung it with extra-light strings and set it up in Nashville high tuning. This thing has really come to life!!!
I can't wait for my wife and I to begin recording our next CD project. I'll probably use the Gitjo on nearly every song.
God bless Lame Horse and BHO!

I remember when Sonny Osborne played a six string banjo.
Sorry for poor spelling, I try.
