I have a SS3 on my sunflower , and I really like the sound.I have used a Sosbee which was real good too.You can get about any tone you want out of these Stelling ,You just can't be afraid to make a few adjustments.

I have tried different bridges on my Stelling Red Fox and the three I like best are Snuffy Smith III, Scorpion, and KatEyz. I also raise the tailpiece up as far off the head as it will go to give a "sweeter" sound. I also use a Snuffy Smith head. The heavier the bridge-the better.

Thanks for these comments. I have come to realize that the Stelling Banjos are one of the most flexible when it comes to setup and sound and I am having fun tweaking. They also have a good range of sound dynamics between the bridge and the neck. I was a little disappointed when I first received my Master Flower but it is growing on me as I tweak and am getting close to the sound I was looking for.
