It's amazing how quickly things can get away from me when I take my eye off the ball. Looking back at my past blog entries I realized that I haven't learned much of anything new in a several weeks. I'd kept up with practice but for whatever reason hadn't taken the next step. Of course I've been busy and saddled with other complaints but wow, time flies even when I'm not having fun.
The good new is that my schedule is looking much better and I'm back on task -- the important task that is, playing the banjo. I'm working on a tune by Mr. Don Reno and having a lot of fun trying to digest something new. My old friend and banjo teacher, Randal Morton,
is helping me so it's coming along nicely. Hopefully I'll have a "rendition" to post sometime in the next week.
Anyway, this was meant as a cautionary tale. A little distraction in the form of whatever, and a lot of good picking time has gone down the drain. A word to the wise is always sufficient. ;^/
