This is why I love working in a big opera house: today I was in the gym (at work) and then went to a staging rehearsal for a Mozart opera, this afternoon I was singing Mahler #2 with Zubin Mehta, tomorrow I sing performance number 3 of a Don Carlo we are renting from the Royal Opera Covent Garden. On Monday I'm going to be sitting in meetings to discuss a 12-city tour that the chorus is going to make in March, after trying on a custom-made costume for the aformentioned Mozart opera. And that I share a dressing room with 3 other guys that play bluegrass.

Sounds like you're living a very cool version of "It's a Wonderful Life". And I get to live it vicariously through you. Pretty good deal for both of us I'd say.

I envy you being able to make a living doing something you love. Not many of us are able to say that. Good for you and long may you continue in your vocation!
