Jordan is a Hard Road to Travel

Posted by Jonnycake White on Monday, September 22, 2008

I think I've about got "Jordan is a Hard Road to Travel" figured out.  I found a way of playing the final phrase with a couple of drop thumbs that sounds pretty good - but of course it will take me a week or two - or maybe a month or two - of practice to get them up to speed.  Drop thumbs always slow me down.  Rather than being a banjo player with x number of years of clawhammer experience, I usually feel like a banjo player with one year clawhammer experience repeated x number of times.

I'm kinda like that, only I'm a banjo player with 1 year of experience 34 times.

The call me Mr. Klutzy Fingers.....

I've started to really be able to play this up to speed and I keep finding places to insert drop thumbs in - it's been really helpful in solidifying the drop thumb technique.
