Woohoo! Bought a J. Reynolds 19-fret via Amazon.com, through a vendor called 8th Street Music. Arrived in two and a half days in standard shipping (!), nearly playable right out of the box -- pre-strung, just needed bridge placement and tuning up! Staying in tune so far too...received it last Friday, took it on a brief road trip (always a test) and it kept the tuning. Getting used to playing the tunes in GDAE tuning, which is intuitive, so I'm getting accustomed surprisingly fast...reels will take a while, but I can already play most of the jigs in my repertoire at 2/3 speed. And hornpipes play like a dream -- so I've been waiting for this for years, not wanting to spend the money on an instrument for a specific style, but I'm glad I did. Not an expensive instrument, and well-worth it for the playability.
Will post sound files eventually, once I get more comfortable on it! :)
