It's been one year since the redhead gave me the best birthday present ever. Let's relive that moment, shall we?
It's 2007, we're having a birthday dinner at a nice vegetarian restaurant and I'm opening a big, oddly-shaped package from the redhead.
Isn't she wonderful?
How am I celebrating my banjoversary? By blogging. A lot. I'm going to use this occasion to have a little public think session about where I've been and where I'm going, banjo-wise.
So, if you like that sort of thing, then this is the sort of thing you'll like and you should really like the next few posts.
Update: It's not just my birthday. It's not just my banjoversary. Apparently, June 20th is the happiest day of the year for everybody. (Thanks for the link, little sister!)

Great stuff. I also received my banjo as a gift - for Xmas/40th birthday at the turn of the year. It's fabulous isn't it. I hope you keep enjoying playing and learning for many years to come!

So your banjo came right in the front door like mine did and yours disguised as a gift no less. Have you been able to sleep, concentrate or do anything your suppose to since it arrived last year?

BryanWB: Thanks! So far I've posted about my first six months and am working on a post about the second six, with more to come. I think this banjoversary celebration is going to take about a week..
TopCat: Yeah, the banjo is a great gift for the right person. Glad to meet another "right person"!!!
strokestyle: Actually I've found that the banjo give me back time in my day. The days where I keep to a good practice schedule tend to be my more productive days in other areas of my life, too.
