Well I got a new thing to get my 40 year old brain to decipher while playing last week. My instructor got me started on hammer on's. They are not to bad, but when you mix it in with which strings to strike, what chord to play and then throwing a hammer on in the middle it makes you wanna cry... Well I practiced a good bit this week end and can play the short hammer on piece fairly well. I know that about the time I get this down then comes the slides and pull offs, so will keep forging ahead.

Keep on pickin brother. Right now I'm struggling with cords. My left hand and I are having a battle royal, but I WILL prevail, and so will you!!!

My instructor started me off with slides - look so smooth and easy when he does it - but it's not that simple (for me, anyway). And chords? Wow - I think my fingers are too fat (but they're not!!). Keep persevering, is what I tell myself. Good luck from the UK Guys and Gals. Bryan.
