Busy day today, but lots got done. And we went to the noon movie, which is such a luxury. In the middle of the day, in the cool dark, with fresh popcorn from a clean popcorn machine, and almost a private showing. It was fun and I will do it more often.
I got an offer last night to co-author a book. I have been pondering this and I think I am up to the task. I can't give any more details yet, but if I commit to it, it might be a very very good thing. The intriguing part of the offer is that it's really more than a one-shot deal. It would probably lead to an ongoing collaboration, which is the real attraction for me.
It is odd, feeling like I am starting a real career at my age. But I would not change my decision to leave the full-time salaried workforce to stay home with the kiddo if I could turn back the clock. Those were years very well spent, and it was the right thing to do. Today, she was named "Most Likely To Succeed" in her class, and I am very proud of what she has accomplished. I hope I can live up to her example. That's a table-turn, isn't it?
Didn't have too much picking time today, but some is better than none and I have been playing well the last couple of days. I have been much more relaxed and accepting of myself and my skills lately, and I think that is making a difference in my outcomes. I'm going to try to conciously continue this, which might undermine it, but maybe not. Won't know til I try, now, will I?

Well...it's no wonder you didn't have time to do much picking. Don't you think going to movies in the middle of the day is a little decadent? LOL! Oh well!
Co-author a book? My goodness, we are truly in the presence of greatness here. And, it would be on-going. What a tremendous opportunity. Just make sure the other author knows you need some minimum amount of picking time.
Congratulations to the kiddo! "Most Likely To Succeed" That is truly something to be proud of...both of you.
You were right yesterday. When you have a rotten day, the next one has to be better.
Relaxed acceptance of yourself...what a concept! That's great!
Keep up the good work and keep writing blog entries. You are truly an inspiration to the rest of us. Thanks.
