As I was pickin cripple creek today, I was trying to play as fast as I could and messed up. When I messed up I heard something in there that sounded cool. Fooled around for a bit and wrote a lick that fits in with part B of cripple creek pretty well. I'll keep practicing it and get asound clip for ya'll real soon. It's been a good day.
Also my rolls are comming along real nice and the banjo is starting to feel as comfy as a guitar does to me. The funny thing is I haven't touched a drum in about a week and I don't miss it at all...Damn this banjo is good stuff!

Well, a banjo is just a drum-on-a-stick. Sounds better to, I think. Great that you found something out of your "mess up." Someone said that there are no mistakes; just different ways of playing something. Keep picking!

Congrats on your progress.
I traded my conga drums for an upright bass and I've never looked back. For the unabridged version, see my home page, click on my blog archive, and read My Unabridged Biography.
