An Update

Posted by blamethebanjo on Sunday, January 13, 2008

I wish I had good news on the subject of my brother in law.Sadly I don't. His wife is preparing to have him served with divorce papers.I can't blame her for giving up after years of hanging in there with him hoping for a change.

I do however wonder why she didn't intervene early on when this thing first came up.I realize how hard it is to think of your whole world being turned upside down and the dreadful thought of loosing the things you have worked for for years. They are but things afterall and can be replaced or done without.

A human life in danger is more important.Even one who has lost his ability to think rationaly.A marriage can be of the same worth.Worth trying again.Thirty years of sharing lives is nothing to toss away easily. My wife and I mentioned an intervention and didn't get a positive response from his wife and daughter. Our hands are tied having to sit back and watch someone we love slowly disapear.Fading away day by day.

Meth is an epidemic in our country. Many are going to work high and getting high on the job. This is going on in all walks of life.People are doing important, potentualy disasterous jobs under the influence of this trash dope. What good is drug testing when everyone is in on and on the stuff? My brother in laws' job only tests those who are injured, supposedly. The truth is they don't then because the supervisor is on it too.We have got to fight this monster or soon it will effect all of us in some way.God forbid I ever need surgery again but if so I think the surgeon should be tested before I go under.Anethesiologest too.

It is truly out of hand. The numbers are growing and growing.Watch out for aluminum foil rolled up.They smoke it in that and sometimes they fill ink pens and smoke it from them.Sometimes little glass tubes almost anything.

If you have someone you suspect get help before they die.As early as you can the better it will turn out. I pray you don't.
