Flatt and Scruggs records

Posted by Banjo Mountain on Tuesday, December 25, 2007

Does anybody know how many Flatt and Scruggs records were made during the carreer of Flatt and Scruggs(1948-1969)? I am trying to collect them.

Here are some I have managed to collect through flea-markets, etc:

Live At Carnegie Hall (1962), The Versatille Flatt and Scruggs (1962), Foggy Mountain Banjo (1961?), Detroit City (1968?), Hard Travelin'/The Ballad of Jed Clampett (1962), Town and Country (?), Country Music (195?), Great Original Recordings Vol. 1 (?), Flatt and Scruggs: The Original Sound (196?), Nashville Airplane (1969), Changin' Times (1969), When The Saints Go Marching In (196?), Greatest Hits (1969), and Songs Of Glory (1962?).

Flatt and Scruggs are also my favorite.  I get every album I can get of them.  I don't know how many albums they recorded, but there is a book , A Biography of Lester Flatt  The Good Things outweigth the Bad that lists some of the albums in the back.  I got this book several years ago  in the music store in downtown Nashville.   There is also 4 dvd's of the Martha White show of Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs if you might be interested.  I going to wear my dvds out, I watch them so much.  I am proud to hear of your interest in the great Flatt & Scruggs.  Sammie
