Dear Dude --
-- Almost two years since you bought that banjo...
Q.: Do you know Foggy Mountain Breakdown, Rocky Top, or Fox on the Run? Do you know any tunes? Have you written any? Can you jam?
Q.: Do you practice with a plan, steady with metronome, work on back-up rhythm, sound, up-the-neck, speed?
Q.: Do you record?
Q.: Do you take lessons?
Q.: How's your banjo?
Q.: How can you possibly have anything to say about the banjo? Don't you kind of suck?
A.: -- Not really. -- Not much. -- Not at all. Some times, but not much lately. One take once. One lesson, one workshop. I dunno. Yeah, I really do kind of suck, but I'm having fun.

Hey, Dude. THE MOST important criteria you listed above was the passing comment in the last line; "I'm having fun."
THAT'S what it's all about.
Congratulations on an excellent first 2 years. May you have many, many more!
