I saw Shelley Cubley's quest for a banjo for her husband, Travis who is the grandson of E. J. Cubley.
I have info about Cubley banjos relating to Carl and August Larson who worked in the Cubley factory pre 1893 when it burned down. I am doing a book about the Larson brothers and show 3 Cubley instruments and mention history of the incident. The Larsons built guitars and mandolins under the brands; Maurer, Prairie State, Euphonon, Dyer, and Stahl from 1900-1944.
I would like Travis to contact me to compare notes and learn more of the Cubley history.
Bob Hartman, author of "The Larsons' Creations Guitars and Mandolins" and two earlier books. Working on the 5th one now.

If you want to contact one of our members, look him/her up in a member search and PM (private message) him/her. Then they can either answer you or prefer not to.
Shelly Cubley should be able to show her husband your message and he can take it from there.
