Took on a new student

Posted by Meles_Meles on Friday, August 21, 2020

Due to my declining cardiac health, about 2.5 years ago I stopped teaching, figuring that it would be unfair to my students to leave them in the lurch when I died. However, I'm still live after all this time and I really miss teaching; there's nothing like it, as far as I'm concerned. So on Thursday I took on a new student (melodic ukulele -- I guess you could say I'm starting small) by Zoom, and we're both enjoying it. If CoViD-19 doesn't get me, I just might take on some more for different instruments. I can recommend it as a great way to kick the stay-at-home boredom.

Congratulations on your return back to teaching. I can imagine how hard and even maybe boring it can be without teaching. And thanks to technology, we had a chance to study/teach online during the pandemic. I've been playing banjo since school, and sometimes I also have lessons with students. But this year it has not been so often because I was very busy at university. But I've been doing my best to be able to combine studying and also teaching. I noticed that most time, I take my writing tasks and try to optimize everything. And now, when I need to write something, I look for examples or other info. The last time when I needed to write an autobiography paper, I decided to check this source, which actually helped me so much with writing. And it saves a lot of time because examples, guides, or any other related info provide you some tips on writing so that you spend less time on it. And at that time you can decide to do something else, to do lessons with students for example.
