Hello to all string manipulators out there in banjodom. To Claw or not to claw that is often the question.
I love finger picking equally well but in The next concertwindow.com session
I'll be "clawing" in the key of G -- Carroll County Blues-- Erynn Marshall learned her version mostly from the playing of Missouri fiddler Bob Holt and I am following her version mostly in my sessions.
times are as follows: Sunday August 25th,
1 p.m. old time clawhammer -- Carroll County Blues-- key of G
3 p.m. Erynn Marshall old time fiddle-- Carroll County Blues
5 p.m. old time mandolin--Carroll County Blues --G
7 p.m. old time guitar back up--Carroll County Blues
I am saddened to say that Concert window is winding up after an amazing run of ten years so this will be our last foray on their site. We will scope out another one soon. so stay tuned so to speak. On that note, (staying in tune is a lifetime pursuit in itself) I'll close and hope you will keep your banjos twangin' and join us tomorrow for some bluesy fun. Thanks and all the best Carl
