I purchased a banjo a year ago online and can't find any info from the purchase.
It's a 5 string banjo with an eagle on the back and above the pegs. It has a wood
armrest which I love. It's the same style as maybe a 1960s Kay banjo but because
there is no name on it that I can see, does that mean it's a no brand or knock off?
The strings sit high above the fret board so I'm not happy with that. Any advice
you can give me would be most helpful. I'd like to know if it's a Kay banjo or not.

Sounds like an Asian look-alike. Does it have a tone ring? Is it heavy or light weight? If lightweight, it's probably an entry level banjo.
