Practising on Thursday
Semi Supine (Constructive Rest) http://www.dandbpublishing.com/perch/resources/semi-supine-chapt-1.mp3
Due to my pointer fingernail being split just at the edge on the left hand side, which did split again, despite the superglue, so yesterday I bought some matt nail polish so you can't see it, much better. Now I can see the point of excessive nail care.
I did a small amount of chord work yesterday but it was too much. So no C or D7 today, nor typing.
Basic Strum 1
Backward forward roll finger across 12th to 7th fret
Backward forward roll
Will add to as I practise more
I decided to play with a forward backward roll, open G and Em, going up and down the head of the banjo, I got right into it and built up a bit of speed, and for a few moments here and there I was making music, I was making a sound that was from me, then it was gone, and I was practising some more, and then I clicked back in to making music. I did the Open G and Em changeovers, whole bars mostly, some half bars, and up and down the banjo head, and I got a wide range of loud, soft, slow fast, soft, loud, fast, slow and so forth.

What a wonderful moment when you're making music!

Mandolin Orange's "Boots of Spanish Leather" just tugs at my heart and reveals the real emotion in Dylan's song that I did not feel so deeply in his version.
