Hi Banjo People,
I'm looking for a good banjo for my son.
Budget: no more than $400
I found a Sekova 5-string for $250 that seems in good shape but know nothing about the make.
Anybody have any thoughts or experience here?
Many Thanks,
Oliver

Welcome to the Hangout.
You'll get more answers if you first upload pictures of the banjo, if you can. To upload pictures to the Hangout, look on the right hand side of the page under your username and under add content, click on photos and follow easy instructions for uploading to your home page.
Then, you'll get more reads from the forums. Forums are located on the left hand side of the page. Click on forums, then forum home, scroll, to appropriate forum and click on it. Then in the upper right hand side of the page click on post new topic, give your topic a subject, ask your question(s) and, if you wish to add pictures (which will help us determine what you want to know) look above the text and icons on the right hand side and click on add attachments. Follow easy instructions for uploading pictures from home page to topic, then click on submit new topic. Check back for answers.
If you can't submit pictures, give us as much information as you can about the banjo such as: is it a 4 or 5 string, open back or resonator (closed back), how much does it weigh? Is it new or used and any other information you think might help us answer your question(s).
