If you're looking for a nicely made low-end banjo, the OB5 is a great little starter banjo or budget-minded instrument with a very nice neck and aluminum rim. I bought one to have a good little knock-around banjo for travel. The aluminum rim also functions as a tone ring rendering a sweet tone. I used the OB5 to record my "Roaring Twenties Medley" and played it plectrum style. It sounded great. Have a listen:
