SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT---------Some may feel that voting in the upcoming election is like being asked to choose which rotten apple do you want out of a barrel of rotten apples. Therefore, they choose not to vote. I just read such a post. My response was---I'm a Vietnam veteran, having served as a Dustoff pilot. By voting, you are showing me HONOR. By voting, you are showing ever veteran HONOR, but even more so, by voting, you are showing HONOR to all the veterans who have died so that you can enjoy the freedom of being in a country where you're free to vote. By refusing to vote, if your able to vote, you show dis-honor to me, my fellow veterans, and even greater dis-honor to those veterans who have shed their blood and died, so that you can be free to vote. Just something to think about. Jim (Haystack-Dustoff102-Dustoff13).

I agree completely. It's dishonoring the whole notion of a democratic republic, and all of the hard work and sacrifice that has been made throughout our history, not only by the incredible members of our armed forces over the years, but all the people involved in the forming of the nation in the first place. It's poor and lazy citizenship, plain and simple.

Retired soldier and Vietnam vet here and agree whole heartedly with you and Craig. Voting is not only a right, its a privilege. Get informed and vote.
