Sore Fingers Summer School - Eastern 2014

Posted by Erwin on Tuesday, April 22, 2014

What a wonderful experience was SFSS again this year !

I could play my new Deering Sierra for a full week, get lessons from Tony Furtado, catch up with old friends and meet new ones, played jams in the evening and I even participated in a square dance !

The evening concerts were fabulous again, the students concert hilarious and the tutors concert fantasticous !

I had the chance to hollo the two songs I know : "Little Maggie" and "Man Of Constant Sorrow", and I wrote myself a silly song for a female singer with a wonderful voice, who was also my square dance partner.

Thank you Kevin, Gordon, Sarah, Maria and Issie for an unforgettable SFSS 2014 !

Here's a picture of the "gang of 5", with me in the middle, smiling like an idiot ! :-)

I remember seeing that lineup having its photo taken.

An excellent week! Julie Elkins was a fabulous teacher, too. And as for the lineup of that dance bad... woah!
