trigger finger

when i wake up in the morning the ring finger of my left hand don't work right

it's been like that for about 5 years

for the first 3 years it i couldn't bend it, or unbend it without popping and pain and it was like that all day

now since i started pickin again (the last couple years) it seems to be working a bit better

after i'm awake for about an hour it stops popping so bad

and once i start pickin my five i don't notice it at all

i find that banjo pickin is the best doctor i could ever find

i can transcend all the bad things when i'm in the 5 string flow

i am also hugely grateful  for some of the master banjo pickers composers arrangers who grace this site

and of course eric for starting the whole thing up

we've had no rain here in the sf bay peninsula area - dry as a bone - extended indian summeπ

sunny & warm every day ˜ great for busking  but  we will pay    ...if we don't get some rain

My husband has had a cortisone shot for trigger finger. It works wonderfully for a year. He plays mandolin.

I also found that banjo pickin' does wonders for ,carpel tunnel, arthritis, and I think my broken pinky healed faster. I had a second cousin who at 95 used crutches but still mowed 20 acres with an old tractor. One time I caught him sitting on a soda box busting up concrete with a 9 pound hammer. keep moving Jimi...its the secret to longevity
