I cannot find tablature for the backup licks, Earl used for the song" Down the Road." The licks are very catchy. Has anyone figured them out? If so, I would sure appreciate learning them.

You might ask your question in the Tab forum -- it gets more reads than the blogs and someone there might actually tab it out for you.
