I have been concentrating almost exclusively on the guitar for the last year or so. I sold all of my banjos and bought a Goodtime 2 just to have one. I used it sparingly, but it was a good way to have something handy to play. Recently I have begun to start recording songs and playing in a jam now and again. I found the Goodtime to be somewhat lacking for that. So, I just sold it. My new Recording King RK35 arrived today. It really is surprising how much better the RK sounds. Not bashing the Goodtime 2 at all. It is an astonishingly easy to play and good sounding banjo. The RK just has so much more depth of tone and projection.
On another note, my daughter has decided to take up playing the fiddle/violin. She is 11 years old, so just about the right age to put some effort into it. Surprisingly, she has taken to it rather quickly! I think I may have found a new jam partner!

Welcome back Todd and best of luck to you and your daughter. Do you still live out by State Park?
