Check out the BHO group: Pastors Who Are Pickers. I second the notion of a teacher. Short of that, you might want to look into the Murphy Method CDs for whatever style you want to play.

learned my first song today it took most of the afternoon and it was using just 3 strings but i can play a song i could't play when I woke up.
