I found a very slightly used Epiphone MB-200 through online classifieds. The guy was asking too much, but I told him to contact me when he just wanted to get rid of it. He did.
I don't love it the way I love my Dean. Some folks don't love Deans, but that Dean is fantastic. Can hold a tune forever. Sounds like a dream for what it is. I have loved it from day one.
Now, I feel like I have brought in a substitute for a favorite teacher. The sub may be a great teacher in their own right, but they just aren't THE TEACHER.
This Epiphone is good though. Was playing tonight without picks. Gotta pick some up. I'm happy with the sound, the look, the feel. I can actually tell that the action is slightly higher. Didn't think I would notice something like that.
Hopefully, this banjo and I will get along until I get my Dean back. Who knows. Maybe I'll come to love this one too.
I also lost all my tabs in the house fire. If anyone has any tabs they would love to share with me, will you send them my way? I will get researching tomorrow, but i had some good ones I'm missing. And would love to find new ones recommended by others.

If you're interested in tabs, there are literally thousands in the tabs and lessons on the left hand side of the page. All are free for the downloading. You will need the appropriate software, however, to download and print them. That's also available here on the Hangout -- same place, just follow instructions.

Thanks. Yeah, I know about the tabs on here, but I always find that I don't really know what I'm looking for when I go to the tabs, but when folks have sent me stuff, it's been fantastic.
