Hi Y`all,
Does anybody know what type of thumb picks Earl Scruggs used, was they plastic or metal.

Thanks Texas, The reason I mention it is because I was looking at a site about Earl and it showed a pic of someones hand wearing 2 metal finger picks and a metal thumb pick so I assumed it was him.

I agree 100% with TKO. On page 18 of EARL SCRUGGS and the 5 string banjo, Earl states: I use a plastic thumb pick and two metal finger picks. A light gauge thumb pick with a point...
