I've got the rims and pot hardware for my two 12" block-rim banjos well under way. I bought a HF ring roller and modified it to roll the rings without too much scarring. Each banjo has a tone ring, a bracket band, and a tension ring. I got some silver solder and joined the ends. Man, that stuff is strong.
I've also done most of the lathe work on the rims now - one's about done except final sanding, the other is about 3/4ths done.
