I had a house fire on Sunday night. The kids, dogs, cat, and I are at a hotel. We won't be back in our house for 2-3 months. Worst part? Everything that wasn't destroyed outright was damaged by smoke.
They assure me that they will de-smoke things and they will be gentle with my photos and my banjo. Will they really? Is there a better way to get the smoke out then allow them to take my banjo with all our other possessions to their facility?
I just want to play it, but it stinks so damn bad I can't even hold it.

I hope they get it cleaned up good. It's such a treasure. Holds its tune so well.
Jonah4832, you write that song and post a video. That'd make my day. :)

Sorry about your misfortune Shelly. People don't understand how hard it is to be without your banjo until they've experienced it. Good luck. Ron

Thanks. It's odd the things you miss the most when you're without everything.
