I ordered a Tubaphone Tone Ring and some other parts in raw brass today. Bill Rickard's hardware seems to be generally held in high esteem and his Tubaphone and Whyte Laydie tone rings are interchangeable. That sort of swung it for me...

I've never seen Bill's work first hand, but from what I've read he's the best when it comes to Vega-style parts. Have fun with your project.

Neither have I, it was an act of faith! I also ordered one of each of his ball type bracket shoes and one of each bracket (2" & 2.5"). Until I actually see them I cannot be certain which I will prefer.
