I currently have a Kickstarter campaign going on. For those who aren’t familiar with Kickstarter, it bills itself as a fundraising tool for creative projects, and has become a popular way for artists to raise funding for goals that might otherwise not be financially feasible.
My Kickstarter campaign is about my new recording, JOYRIDE, which I’m quite proud of, and my hopes to promote it to a whole new and far bigger audience. I’ve hired a top publicist who passionately believes that JOYRIDE and my swing banjo style can do just that. He has already accomplished some exciting things.
JOYRIDE features the amazing jazz/roots accordion playing of Charlie Giordano, a.k.a Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band keyboard player, as well as other renowned, extraordinary musicians. My agenda with this recording is to describe what it feels like when everything clicks and comes together just right in music -- or in life. I worked my butt off on it for a year, and I’m really happy with the results.
