The Argentine customs agents had mercy on a poor ole Gringo and his Argy wife

Posted by erikforgod on Wednesday, April 25, 2012

Our baby clothes from grandma just came in from the states woo HOOOO!! The baby will be born in late July early August....thats the dead of old man winter here in this part of Argentina ( highs in the mid to upper 40s low 50s with upper 20s low 30s at night....and terrible heating!! ) so anyways this is very necessary. OF COURSE I couldnt resist adding a set of 5 star planetary tuners and two L-brackets and two No-Knot tailpieces for my Goodtime banjos. I mean come on...you cant live overseas and expect to live without all of this stuff right? Anyways we didnt have to pay taxes....this time....next time they said we are allowed up to 20 kilos ( 44 pounds ) of clothes a year tax free. Beyond that we have to pay U$S 5 in taxes for every kilo ( 2.2 pounds ) of extra weight in clothes in taxes....GHHEEEEZE!!
